Summer Work Begins

By Chad Searcey | July 16, 2011

This was my first card pull of the summer. My 3 year old Slayton wanted to ride along with me so I must admit it was an extra special trip to this Missouri property because this was the first time for him. I couldn't believe how great he did. He was even whispering so we wouldn't "scare the deer" as he said.

This Boss buck feeder is located in front of one of our tree stands. It is also sitting in a 1 acre clover patch. The Boss Buck is full of BB2 from Big & J Industries.

Here is a good reason why I use the Boss Buck feeders...the deer eat right out of them and thus consume all the important minerals contained in the BB2.

Slayton pulling out some of the BB2 from the feeder. He told me he was "feeding the deer."

Another view of the clover food plot and the Boss Buck feeder. Our tree stand is just to the right of the Boss buck inside the tree line. This is a great location for the food plot as the deer exit the timber and feed in the food plot. This is also located a half mile from any roads.

Here is a look at the second clover food plot on this property. These clover plots were planted in September of 2010.

Look for more summer work and preparation from the RDP team in the near future.
