Hunting for a Cure
Cancer is the number one killer of children today!
In a recent blog post I interviewed Chris and Kristie Bell about the Hunting for a Cure event in Savannah, TN. If you missed that story click here for a recap of details about the Hunting for a Cure event and interview: Hunting for a Cure
Drew and I participated in this event this passed weekend. The trip was well worth it and we came away from the event humbled and met several new friends.
Our youth hunter's name we took hunting in the hills NW of Savannah, TN was Logan. Unfortunately we were not able to get Logan a Rocky Top gobbler; however, we came very close a couple of times. I would like to encourage all RDP followers to make an effort to support this event next year. The date for the event will be set sometime in June. It always falls on one of the last two weekends in March. You can help out by being a guide, donating items to the auction, or donating money.
Here is a photo recap of our trip to Tennessee.

What a great way to spend a weekend to fight a terrible disease. Maybe there would be some interest in piggybacking off their great program and doing something here in NW Missouri during Youth Season. I think I know a guy with a couple hundred acres of prime turkey hunting to get started with. And that knows some good guys!
